Pagoda-shaped display case in exotic wood with molded and carved decoration in low relief of branches, scrolls and friezes of Greek. It opens from top to bottom with a glass door, two drawers in the belt and a leaf, flanked by shelves. Ornamentation in varnished bronze decorated with a chimera, a crane standing on a turtle and drawers with openwork and applied motifs in the Chinese style. Hot stamped G.VIARDOT, on the plinth of a small side. End of the 19th century. (Detached elements, small accidents, restorations to the legs of the crane). 168 x 87 x 43 cm. Gabriel Viardot participated in the World's Fair of 1867 obtaining four medals, then in that of 1878 where he obtained a silver medal and finally in the Exhibition of 1889 with a gold medal.
