First half of the 19th century. (Possible restorations, metal rods added). H. 47 cm L. : 24 cm In the 19th century, porcelain manufacturing was once again established in Chantilly. Six hard porcelain factories were built on the ruins of the large 18th century soft porcelain factory. In 1803, Mr. Pigory, mayor of Chantilly, moved by the suffering of the inhabitants, caused by the bad business of C. Potter (the last holder having had to extinguish his furnaces), decided to create a new porcelain factory. He settled in Place de l'Hospice. He signed his pieces "Chantilly" in blue. Our vases are signed in gold. Provenance : PIASA, Drouot Richelieu, rooms 1 7, December 20, 1999, lot 19. Didier Aaron Gallery, Paris
