Sné, [Pierre Prault] 1732. 6 volumes bound in 5 volumes, 177 x 120 mm. Full calf, triple gilt fillet framing the boards, ribbed spines decorated with gilt roulettes and fleurons, gilt roulette on the edges, inner gilt roulette, gilt edges.
Revised edition of the text, given by Jacob Le Duchat in collaboration with La Monnoye.
The first volume features two representations of Rabelais, one engraved by Jean-Baptiste Scotin, as a frontispiece depicting the author at his work table surrounded by masks, a monkey and a satyr, followed by another portrait on page XXVII ;
